Marina Rasnow-Hill, MD

Dr. Rasnow-Hill was born in Berkeley, CA and raised on a ranch in Southern California with her mother and grandparents. She dreamed of being a “Family Doctor” since she was a young girl, inspired by her grandfather’s passion for health and longevity through complementary medicine and her mother’s determination to help others. She got her Bachelor of Science from Xavier University of Louisiana where she graduated at the age of 19, after serving as the president of her sorority and working as a personal trainer and aerobics instructor. She went on to obtain her MD from the University of California, Davis and completed her residency in Family Practice at Methodist Hospital of Sacramento. Driven by a love for obstetrics and women’s health and the role that she plays in the health and well-being of the whole family, she completed a High-Risk Obstetrics Fellowship at Swedish Hospital in Seattle, WA.

Dr. Rasnow-Hill is achieving her dream of doing full scope family medicine including obstetrics with an integrative/complementary approach by wearing several hats. She works closely with the Methodist Family Medicine Residency where she teaches the residents part time and oversees their obstetric curriculum. She also serves as volunteer clinical faculty with UC Davis and helps to teach future physicians and serve at risk populations in the county. She is excited to join with Associated Family Physicians to continue to serve this community in the capacity of Primary Care Physician. She does all of her own deliveries including cesarean sections if and when necessary. She also recently started Rasnow Integrative Wellness through which she offers patients acupuncture and other complimentary therapies to help alleviate a variety of painful and chronic conditions.

Although she wears many clinical hats that keep her very busy, she is the proud doggy-mommy to Honey and Mr. Brinkley, a coon-hound mix and longhaired dachshund respectively. She enjoys cooking, hiking, beadwork, and improving her fitness (a never ending pursuit). She tries her best to visit her family and her other pets on the ranch in Ventura County as much as possible too.
